Wyzwania wobec transportu multimodalnego w polskiej branży chemicznej

Abstract

Przedstawiono główne konsekwencje globalizacji branży chemicznej i jej wpływu na zarządzanie transportem. Zaznaczono potrzebę rozważania transportu multimodalnego jako alternatywy dla przewozu ładunków w branży chemicznej. Podkreślono najważniejsze regulacje i rekomendacje UE w zakresie możliwości wykorzystania transportu multimodalnego. Opisano charakterystykę infrastruktury transportowej ze wskazaniem najważniejszych wyzwań stojących przed jej liniową i punktową architekturą. Wskazano rolę przemysłu chemicznego i uwarunkowania funkcjonowania jego łańcucha dostaw w Polsce w kontekście potencjału wzrostu wykorzystania transportu multimodalnego. Zaprezentowano projekt ChemMultimodal jako możliwą odpowiedź na wyzwania stawiane wzrostowi wykorzystania transportu multimodalnego w polskiej branży chemicznej.

Article presents the main consequences of the globalization of the chemical industry and its impact on transport management. There is a need to consider multimodal transport as an alternative to cargo transport in the chemical industry. Article highlights the key regulations and recommendations of the EU the possibility of using multimodal transport. It describes the characteristics of the transport infrastructure with an indication of the most important challenges facing the linear and point architecture. It indicated the role of the chemical industry and the conditioning of the supply chain in Poland in the context of the potential for increased use of multimodal transport. Additionally, the ChemMultimodal Project was presented as a possible answer to the challenges of growth in the use of multimodal transport in the Polish chemical industry.
