| dc.description | Article presents the importance of a sustainable approach to transport management and development underlined in current EU transport policy. Based in theoretical approach, the conditions for transport modes choices - both internal and external - affecting decisions in the field of transport management by decision-makers representing companies that belong to Chemical Industry in Poland were analyzed. | dc.description.abstract | W artkule przedstawiono istotność zrównoważonego podejścia do rozwoju transportu w polityce transportowej UE. Ponadto wskazano uwarunkowania wyboru gałęzi transportu na gruncie teorii zarządzania i skonfrontowano je z wynikami badań na temat czynników – zarówno wewnętrznych, jak i zewnętrznych – wpływających na decyzje w zakresie zarządzania transportem przez decydentów reprezentujących przedsiębiorstwa należące do branży chemicznej w Polsce. Prowadzone badania należą do zakresu realizacji Projektu ChemMultimodal, którego celem jest wsparcie wzrostu wykorzystania transportu multimodalnego w przemyśle chemicznym.
